Zero-length bin_prot format.

The default converter for the type unit is the V1 converter, not the V2. That's because there's an assumption that primitive types, which include unit, are stable whether or not they say so, so we can't change the unit bin-io converter without breaking many stable types.

This function only needs implementation if t exposed to be a polymorphic variant. Despite what the type reads, this does *not* produce a function after reading; instead it takes the constructor tag (int) before reading and reads the rest of the variant t afterwards.
